"This is actually a cute little tray. It is on the small side, but it’s perfect. If you want to put a few cosmetics on it I actually bought it for the purpose of displaying some Austrian bronze figurines that have been in my family for like 200 years it is so beautiful and perfect for that purpose."

A treasure in sunshine gold
"I have wanted this tray for a while now and finally took the plunge. No regrets! It’s fantastic as a beautiful but useful tray for my Tatcha skincare. Also makes a great backdrop for photos!"
Classic Elegance
"Love the tray. Sits on my vanity."
I was hesitant at first…
"But now I am elated I purchased this obon tray. It’s really stunning and it gave me the perfect place to display my *essential* Tatcha products without looking overcrowded. It’s also just a lovely gold tone tray with so many potential uses, that I usually would never purchase if Tatcha’s genius marketing team hadn’t created the perfect sense of urgency at the best time and tied the gold theme together with the updated packaging/Tatcha label (for most fungible products), and simultaneously offered other beautiful limited edition gold-toned tools and accessories like the the bowl and brush with the golden hanger that air dries the face wash - really nice looking ON this tray. I bought all of my own birthday gifts at the perfect time: right at the previous bonus time. I have no regrets! A day at a spa would have been much more expensive and I love Tatcha products so now I’m learning I love their other releases like this tray! I adore this tray (and everything else I purchased that time - I will review those items sometime), but the bonus products (many full sized and things I actually wanted to try!), as well as free shipping, AND great samples, made buying things like this stunning little tray, the wood massage balls, and other goods like the collab silk pillow case, and the robe, for the first time instead pf just the great Tatcha skincare products, an easy choice that I now struggle to resist at any bonus time. I don’t need anything but I’m a Tatcha product fairy at this point! Everyone gets Tatcha products as gifts! Throw the purple confetti! Everything else so far has been made with excellent craftsmanship and this lovely gold tray is no exception. It’s a great place to keep your favorites/daily products in one place that is also beautiful!"
Gorgeous Tray
"I love this tray. Beautiful color. It's so pretty I don't know how to display it. I don't want anything to hurt it."
Not worth $80
"It’s way too small!! It would be great is it was bigger. I am returning it. Not worth the money. Very disappointed."
Love it!!
"Love it!!"
Lovely Addition to my Home
"The Obon Tray is beautiful with a lovely finish. I keep it on the round table I inherited from my grandmother and on the tray I keep a Tatcha trinket box, a small dish for my watch, my Tatcha lip balm, etc. This is a high quality product and in the four years I've owned it, it has shown absolutely zero wear. I want to echo something I read in another review: I really wish Tatcha would offer more gift products like the Obon tray, jewellery, fans, etc. I purchase Tatcha less often now that there aren't as many gift options. I found the gifts from Tatcha to be different and unique, things I only have ever found here. Please consider reintroducing these gifts again."

Such a beautiful tray!
"The gold work is stunning. Looks great on my vanity. Might also use it on the dining room table…!"

The Japanese game of fukubiki is a centuries-old tradition still practiced today at seasonal festivals and even retailers. Learn about the custom and how you can win up to 4 complimentary minis for a limited time. What’s your favorite summer activity? If you have the chance to visit Japan, you’ll likely get to experience one of its famous summer festivals, or natsu matsuri. Though each has its own meaning and purpose, at their root most seasonal festivals are held to honor nature’s gifts, reconnect with the community, and pray for good fortune. These vibrant and colorful celebrations are often a showcase of the neighborhood with local craft vendors, dancing, fireworks, carnival games, and even a lottery known as fukubiki. The traditional game is said to have originated in 702 when Emperor Shomu held a New Year’s party where strips of paper were drawn for prizes like a beautiful cloth. Modern versions are sure-win raffles that can be held anytime of year where paper fukubiki are drawn from a wooden box. Fukubiki are said to reveal one’s fortune, and in more recent years, earn you a prize at your favorite retailer from mystery bags to discounts. To bring the spirit of good fortune to you, we’ve started our own fukubiki-inspired tradition. Matcha is finely powdered green tea that is known for its bright green hue, distinct cultivation, ceremonial preparation process, and transformative health benefits. There are different grades of matcha, with ceremonial being the most prized. Ceremonial-grade matcha comes from younger tea leaves that are more prized for their delicate flavor and potent health benefits. Matcha is also found in many skincare formulas, which might sound strange at first, but the green tea’s powerful antioxidants also work wonders on the skin, helping to soothe, calm, and balance.
